Can't go back...

When have all the hours gone?, the ones we shared, for oh so long…
The times we laid upon the grass, when we would love the moments past.
When the end just seemed so far away, I'd never have thought, I'd see that day.

Borrowed moments, and borrowed love, wishes made on clouds above…
We can't go back, or so they say, for those are days, that have gone away.
I suppose there are times, I'd like to see, times well spent, of you and me.

I can't go back, of that I'm sure, to times long past, of times so pure…
Of shining moons, and soft warm winds, and times we spent, as best of friends.
If I could have a wish come true, I'd share those times again with you.
