Here...

It's quiet here tonight my love, where once we walked together...
The wind is cool, the sky is clear, the stars they shine and shimmer.
And on the ground, where we once stood, the moonlight chases shadows...
I whisper softly to the wind, your name, to the hills and hollows.

Years have passed, since we last laughed, and walked upon this ground...
Tonight the earth beneath my feet, makes such a lonely sound.
I stop and stand to watch my breath, as it's carried on the wind...
I wonder if you've come here at night, and hope you come again.

Here was such a special place, when it was you and I...
We spent so many hours here, sometimes we laughed and cried.
Perhaps someday, when I return, I'll see you standing here...
And softly walk behind your form, and whisper in your ear.

Here is where I walked with you, and shared my hopes and fears...
This is where I held you tight, and have missed you all these years.
And if you turn and look at me, I'll know you've come to stay...
Should silence fall upon my ears, I'll watch you walk away,

From here...
