Just You...

There can be, just one you, for I have searched this world...
and through my travels far and wide, you are a shining pearl.
And as no two are ever alike, when it comes to precious things...
there can be, just one you, in this world, or so it seems.

In the thunder I find your heartbeat, in the sea, your sweet green eyes...
and when the wind blows ahead of storms, I heard your passionate sighs.
and where I walk, I feel you've been, and left without a sound...
and all around me, as I go, your fragrance still abounds.

The flowers speak of moments past, when lovers stood and vowed...
The sky is full of wishes flung, they ride the soft white clouds.
The rain it hides the teardrops falling, upon some lovers face...
as memories drift, through a heart, of another time and place.

The trees they watch our passing, and bear our marks with pride...
initials carved so long ago, for a love that's never died.
And when young lovers pass this way, they too shall make their mark...
and gaze upon our memory there, when our love was in this park.

The morning awaits you rising, to help and brighten my day...
without your smile, and sparkling eyes, my skies would all be gray.
Your words are like the gentle song, of birds upon the wing...
they see the love you give to me, fresh as the breath of spring.

There can be, just one you,  of that I can be sure...
for only in your heart is found, a love that beats so pure.
So, speak to me of memories, that keep us warm at night...
of times with love and happiness, that makes your eyes shine bright.

Forget the times of pain and loss, to dwell there is a sin...
the heart and soul, need sweet warm thoughts, to help it mend again.
Remember times of long sunsets, and snow that chilled our bones...
and in your heart, you will know, our love goes on and on.
