Late at Night…

Sometimes when it’s this late at night, the breeze is cool, and stars are bright,
I can feel your eyes upon my heart…
And when I feel I can’t go on, that life’s to hard, the road to long,
That is when I feel the memories start…

For you still have a castle in my heart.

Turning pages one by one, I remember times under summer suns,
You hair, your eyes, the look upon your face…
The simple touch of your sweet hand, your voice as you talked of future plans,
It never failed to make my tough heart ache…

You will always be my Lady of the Lake.

Sometimes when it’s this late at night, the air is cool, the moon is bright,
I walk along a path that we once shared…
I remember all the things we said, and how I used to kiss your head,
And thank the lord, he helped us be a pair…

I thank you for the times that we did share.

Turning pages to and fro’, I remember times when it would snow,
We would cuddle close to keep us warm…
Our breath upon the midnight air, the moonlight flowing through your hair,
You’d kiss me and I’d taste of your sweet charms…

And you were safe forever in my arms.

Sometimes when it’s this late at night, I come out here where it feels right,
I wonder if you ever do the same…
I think upon the times long past, and know our love will always last,
For in my heart our love burns like a flame…

And on the wind I whisper you sweet name.
