Long lost friend...

Though I have barely known you, you seem so much like me...

We speak of things that we both like, and of things we'd like to be.

They tell me that most everyone, has met sometime before...

Perhaps it was in another life, upon some distant shore.

I'm not sure if I believe such things, but wouldn't it be nice...

If I had been a princess lost, and you my gallant Knight.

And when we talk from time to time, it's as if I've seen your face...

A soft and lovely memory, from another time and place.

And when we talk for hours on end, I learn of who you are...

And then we walk, and talk of hearts, and gaze upon the stars.

Sometimes your like, a long lost friend, I knew so long ago...

So on our stars I wish for us, that you never have to go.
