Moments...

There are moments, to be sure, when I think you'll disappear…
Because how can angels walk like you, and I can't believe you're here.
A voice like music in the night, a touch soft as falling leaves…
A wink, a smile, a twinkling eye, your smell upon the breeze.

God must have known, I needed you, he must have heard me late at night…
When I would sit, upon the ground, and pray to stars so bright.
Send me just a little love, that I may smile sometimes…
I will hold her close, and care for her, like leaves upon the vine.

And then you came, so beautiful, one summer beneath blue skies…
We learned to love, and laugh and play, I even learned to cry.
You've stayed with me, for all these years, and blessed me with your love…
I know that God smiled down on me, when he sent you from above.
