My Angel, Sue…

While others search for treasure in far away lands,
I find all that I need, in the touch of your hands.
When times seem the hardest and the day becomes long,
You are music to my Heart, you are the words of love songs.

Long journeys I've traveled, with you by my side,
Sometimes I have fallen, though hard I have tried.
I know that God loves me, it's simple to see,
He sent his best Angel, to watch over me.

What made me so special to be chosen by you,
To be wrapped in your love, so warm and so true.
So come sit upon my lap for I have something to say,
These words from my Heart, on this your Birthday.

Mere words cannot help me describe how I feel,
Your love makes my Heart ring, like hammer on steel.
But if I could write, a song of our love,
It would flow with the grace, of soft clouds above.

Though I am no poet, nor minstrel by far,
