Cruel of me, to have stayed so long, when all you did was cry.
But no matter what the future brings, we can say we tried…
Too hard at times I know that now, but our hearts were so entwined.
I could say I'm sorry, but that would make a lie, of all the things we cherished…
And all the times we tried.
But for all the hurt we suffered, I'll always feel so bad…
To remember how I looked at you, and your eyes look much too sad.
Perhaps the years between us, has made the trip so hard…
but I do not regret the times, I shared with you the stars.
For our love was one I won't forget, there just isn't that much time…
It will take more than eternity, to erase you from my mind.
I wish you all the love you seek, and love you still this day…
I hope you think of me at night, and hear me when I pray..
