The Light…

The Light… They say it's always darkest, just before the dawn...
there's been so little sign of light, but still we're holding on.

I can't remember all the hell, that we have both been through...
I only know I'd never have made it, If I had not had you.

So while we search for the elusive light, that at times seems faraway...
I'll walk with you, and hold your hand, and this is what I'll say.

Stand with me, though you are weary, and fight here at my side...
For soon the darkness must fade away, and the light come to our eyes.

It cannot last much longer, it's gone on far too long...
for hope is the only answer, and love our eternal song.

And when our fight is over, and we both can see the light...
we'll rest and sleep in peaceful slumber, my arms around you tight.
