Till...

Till there was you, I had no one, my heart kept on a shelf
There were days, I often stayed, alone all by myself.
Till there was you, I never knew, how soft a love could be
Or how a heart, once alone and dark, could fly so high and free.

Till there was you, I never thought, I'd have so much to hold
Then I held you, within my arms, and felt your heart of gold.
Till there was you, I'd never known, the beauty of a night
I'd never noticed, the moon so full, and how the stars burn bright.

Till there was you, I always dreamed, of kissing lips so sweet
Of pledging love, so warm and true, to someone close to me.
Till there was you, I never hoped, I'd have my dream to hold
On winter nights, when fires burn bright, to keep you from the cold.

Till there was you, I was alone, now all that's gone from me
For all I see, when you look at me, are loving eyes of green.
