"I'll Wait..."

I'll wait, for there is naught that I have to do...
that bears anymore importance,
than the love I have for you..
I'll wait, until the stars in heaven,
 fall down from high above.
My task is clear, and I am here,
I am waiting for your love...

I'll wait just as I told you, on that you can depend...
I'll wait for years and centuries, I'll be here at times end.

I've been here like I promised,
 through storms and tempest tossed...
and here I'll stay, till the end of days,
searching for what I lost.

I'll wait, for there is naught that I have to do...
listening, watching, praying,
I'll hear a word from you.

I see at times stars falling...
they fall down one by one.
But there are always some left waiting,
at the rising of the sun.

But if I should run out of stars, before you can return...
I'll fling the fallen ones back to heaven,
so you will finally learn...
I'll wait..
